Meet Lakeisha Simms Dunbar
Lakeisha Simms Dunbar is a dedicated Florida family law attorney at Florida Law Advisers, P.A., specializing in guiding clients through complex and high-conflict family law matters with compassion, strategy, and unwavering advocacy. Lakeisha holds an undergraduate degree in Communications from Florida State University and earned her Juris Doctor from Stetson University College of Law, where she focused on family law and children’s rights. During her time in law school, she served as President of the Black Law Students Association, interned with the Child Advocacy Clinic at the Sixth Judicial Circuit Public Defender’s Office, and gained hands-on experience in private practice—all while preparing to pass the Florida Bar.
Building on her early career as an associate attorney, Lakeisha founded and successfully managed her own law practice, representing clients in a broad spectrum of family law issues. Her expertise shines in high-network conflict divorces, intricate custody and time-sharing disputes, child relocations, and cases involving closely held businesses or financially entangled spouses. With her background in firm management and working with business owners, Lakeisha expertly addresses the financial, operational, and emotional complexities that arise when family matters intersect with professional lives, ensuring clients’ assets and futures are protected.
